Our organization was founded as the Galt Community Concilio and
was reborn as South County Services to reflect our broad
geographical and demographic reach. We've been providing
important human services to the region for 34 years.

Our goal is to promote health and well being and economic
self-sufficiency for the geographic service area of South Sacramento
County includes the cities of Galt, Elk Grove, South Sacramento and
the River Delta areas of , Walnut Grove, Isleton, Courtland, Hood
and Locke. We serve as a Safety Net for people throughout the area.

This region includes great diversity in lifestyles - from rural to urban
and suburban. It is also characterized by great ethnic diversity with
people from around the world calling South Sacramento County their
home.

It's our desire to serve each of our clients with dignity, compassion
and strong advocacy as they face a variety of challenges. We have
programs and resources for individuals, support services for families
and a robust program for seniors.

Throughout the year we conduct community outreach activities to
inform the community about our services and resources. Media
coverage of our events and work help to inform the public and
encourages donations of time, materials and funds.

Community and media outreach also helps us recruit new volunteers
to help South County Services grow stronger and better. Volunteers
are the heart and soul of our organization. We count them as
valuable assets in our organization.

We also are part of a large, comprehensive network of community
based services that create our regional Safety Net. These
relationships help us tap into new sources of funding and models we
may replicate in our program.
